Made-to-measure (M2M) vs Bespoke: What's the difference?
We offer two services at G&G, both of which are custom made, to-order and which each have benefits depending on your requirements. It usually comes down to the type of design you are looking for, the fabrics you are seeking, and your budget.
Made-to-Measure (M2M) is an excellent way to get a great-fitting, Savile-Row quality suit at a more affordable price point. During your appointment, you’ll choose from a curated selection of designs and fabrics, and we’ll take your measurements using our master models. We use these measurements to create your unique garment pattern which we keep on file just for you. Your suit is crafted to fit you but unlike bespoke, it doesn’t include further refinement or adjustments after it’s made. M2M is perfect for those dipping their toe into the world of custom-made.

Bespoke, on the other hand, is all about unlimited choice and finer detail. Choosing from an endless selection of luxury fabrics, linings and design details, we use a master model (or even a toile if the design is super-bespoke) to take your measurements, fine-tune the shape, and create your unique garment pattern. A follow-up fitting ensures every detail is just right.

Think of M2M as elevated RTW: fabulous G&G designs, made to your measurements, arriving at your door perfectly wrapped in eight weeks - while bespoke is a couture-level experience where we fine-tune everything until it’s perfect.

Process
​
M2M - one appointment to peruse in-house designs, take measurements and chat through your fit preferences. Your order is then made and sent to your home in 6-8 weeks.

Bespoke - usually two appointments (more complex garments like wedding dresses will require more). During your initial appointment we discuss designs, fabrics, take your measurements, then during your second fitting we can refine it further
Alterations
​
M2M - Not included, but we can provide a full quote should you require any tweaks.

Bespoke - Complimentary alterations and follow up fittings, for ultimate refinement.
